You Too!
Mark is a 15 year old schoolboy who is starting at a new school in town and Mark is different. That's what everyone says and, to tell the truth, he is. Mark looks different to everyone else at school. He thinks differently, he has a different cultural base. Mark's clothes, his values, his relationships with people are different. This is not a problem to Mark but it is to all the other kids at school. He makes them nervous, he frightens them or he makes them curious. What they think of Mark depends upon what kind of person they are but everyone agrees that Mark is weird. He isn't like them. You Too! looks at Mark's first week at school and how two very different cultures (Mark's and everyone else's) clash and then try to work things out.
You Too! is a comic play about attitudes towards others where the story, the songs and music are all inter-related. As with all our pedagogical plays, You Too! has been created especially for non-native speaking audiences. The themes, the language and the style of theatrical performance have all been carefully considered when writing and devising You Too! to ensure that our final product is appropriate to both the audience's age and language level. You Too! is a pedagogical play written for adolescent learners.
